FAMILY AND BABY PHOTOSHOOTS

I specialise in natural light, documentary style photographs of babies, children and families.

I aim to capture spontaneous moments and create photos that will spark the memories.

I want to bring out the joy, the beauty and humour of family life without shying away from its chaotic, messy reality.

My approach is simple:

Your child is in charge. I am led by them (and you), capturing what is there as you relax, play and spend time together.

No lights, backdrops, or fancy equipment. Just me and my camera.

How it works:

I come to you.

That means the shoot happens in a place that you know and where you all feel relaxed; in your home, in the garden, in the park...

A typical shoot lasts for two hours but timings can be flexible, given the needs of small people.

Before the shoot:

We will have a consultation, via phone or email, to discuss ideas, possible locations and what you want out of it. 

I will also send you a Photo Shoot guide with tips on preparing for the session.

During the shoot:

I don't ask for specific poses but I might suggest things to do and I will gently guide you as we go along.

I use a Canon 5D mkIII and a selection of lenses and occasionally a reflector, that's it. No flash, no tripod or big backdrops. That way I can be more mobile, flexible and unobtrusive. There will be moments you forget I am there.

After the shoot: 

I’ll send you a link to a private online gallery of the best shots and you can select your favourites. 10 high-resolution digital images are included in the price.

Pricing:

Prices for a 2 hour session are; 

  • £225 weekdays

  • £255 at weekends

Prices include the session time, editing and retouching the photos as required and 10 selected high-resolution digital images. 

Extra photos from the gallery can be ordered at £12 each.

I will also keep of all the photos in the gallery for any future re-orders.

The Milestone package:

I also offer a milestone package where I return at intervals throughout the year to chart the changes and development of your child. Usually every 3 months resulting in 4 sessions but other intervals can work equally well. The resulting shoots will be combined into a book. Prices available on request.
